こちらは梅盛上げのお皿です。
「盛上げ」とは一鎮を用いて粘土を盛上げて装飾する技法で、アメリカでも”moriage”と呼ばれています。
梅の木や花が盛上げで丁寧に施されています。
皿の外側にも装飾されています。
日本人の技術の高さが見て取れる逸品です。

This is a dish with plum moriage.
“Moriage” means “to raise” in Japanese, but this “moriage” is a technique to apply clay using Icchin tool and make the decoration rise/bumpy.
The plum tree and flowers are finely made by moriage.
It is decorated both inside and outside.
You can feel the high technique of the Japanese artisan.
